Problem Solving: A big part of what we do here at Design Integrity is solve problems. Sometimes, we are called in to help with a specific problem. A product might not be working perfectly in the field, or a new design concept might be failing in the test lab. Other times, we are asked to develop a new product or mechanism that accomplishes a task that has never been done before.
These challenges can all be viewed as “problems”, and our problem solving processes work for each of these situations. Our process involves gaining a thorough understanding of the issue, eliminating variables, determining all the possible causes, testing hypotheses, and determining the root cause of the problem.
Once the root cause is determined, our focus shifts towards solving the problem with the most effective, cost effective, and expeditious solution.
